As part of the series Constructed Environments/Constructed Identities Visiting Artist 2009-10, the Art Gallery of Windsor and the School of Visual Arts, University of Windsor, invite you to a lecture by artist Denyse Thomasos.

Born in Trinidad in 1964, Thomasos grew up in Toronto where she studied at the University of Toronto (BFA 1987). A graduate of the Yale School of Art (MFA 1989), she has received a Pew Fellowship in the Arts (1995), a Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship Award (1997) and a Joan Mitchell Foundation Award (1998). Thomasos lives in New York where she teaches at Rutgers University. Her visit to Windsor is funded by the WindsorEssex Community Foundation. Denyse Thomasos is represented by the Olga Korper Gallery, Toronto.
