Symposium - The Living River Project
Art, Water and Possible Worlds

Saturday, March 4, 2017 | 1 pm – 4:30 pm

This symposium, co-curated by Patrick Mahon and Stuart Reid, considers the cultural, environmental and historical significance of water in the Windsor-Detroit corridor. The symposium will convene interested artists and community groups from both sides of the border to come together at the Art Gallery of Windsor to discuss water. This colloquium will involve groups active in the study of the river and advocating for environmental protection such as Mona Stonefish, Dr. Lee Rodney, the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research at the University of Windsor, Friends of the Detroit River and the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge.

This program is free with regular gallery admission.
The symposium will take place in the Valiant Corporation Suite on the third floor.
