Since the early 1990s, Mathieu Beauséjour (Montreal) has combined cultural activism, curating and interventions in his installation-based practice, which was documented in 2007 with Persistance, a major solo exhibition and publication produced by the Darling Foundry, Montreal. He was director of the artist-run centre Galerie Clark from 1999 to 2009.
