Panel Discussion:
Downtown Windsor -  Buildings, The Arts & Culture

Citizens, non-profit agencies, educational institutions and community leaders envision arts and culture as vehicles to improve downtown districts. Downtown Windsor’s potential as an arts and cultural hub has been gaining momentum through community-driven institutions and groups, including: The St. Clair College’s Centre for the Arts and MediaPlex, UWindsor’s School of Creative Arts, The Art Gallery of Windsor, ArtCite, The Windsor Symphony at the Capitol Theatre, The Windsor International Film Festival, MediaCity, BookFest Windsor, and the proposed Windsor Centre for Film, Digital Media & the Creative Arts. Wise investments in arts and culture groups in the downtown core may result in greater economic spin-offs, bring citizens back downtown, facilitate community engagement, foster civic pride and advance our city's prosperity, yielding positive community-wide benefits.
