Presented with the support of Anne Safranyos & family, the AGW is pleased to offer Family Fun Sundays in the Studio for a 8th consecutive year.
Join AGW’s signature family-friendly program with local artist-led workshops and participate in a hands-on activity related to the current exhibitions. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. The AGW thanks Anne Safranyos & Family for their 8th consecutive year of sponsorship.

Featured artists are as follows:
February 2019: Kathryn Pasquach
Kathryn Pasquach has been trained in traditional craft techniques used in making many distinctive creative forms. These processes have been passed down through three generations in her family. Pasquach has planned an exciting series of activities beginning with a Pouch Making Session creating a leather pouch, followed by sessions in jewelry making producing a bracelet, earrings or necklace. You can also make a dream catcher and a keychain.
March 2019: Lynn Newman
Lynn Newman holds a Master's Degree in Education. Her extensive teaching background includes specializing in Primary and Junior subjects in the Arts. Newman will offer a varied weekly program focusing on seasonal related activities and will demonstrate how to develop imagery related to form and design inspired by artworks on display at the gallery.
April 2019: George Rizok
George Rizok will use his extensive knowledge and experience in creating super hero comic books from cover to cover to help participants create their own comic masterpiece. Rizok will demonstrate uses of multi-media applications and drawing techniques for determining characters’ proportions, poses, as well as page layout and overall design.
May 2019: Jude Abu Zaineh
Jude Abu Zaineh is based in Windsor, ON. Her current practice explores the use of biotechnology as cultural expression embedded in science and social studies. Her Sundays in the Studio program will offer weekly innovative artmaking activities which will explore new interpretations of works in the collection.
Presented with the support of Anne Safranyos & family, the AGW is pleased to offer Sundays in the Studio for a returning 7th year. Featuring fun hands-on studio workshops featuring local and visiting artists, in response to current exhibitions, seasonal holidays and special events.
This September: George Rizok
Each Sunday in September George Rizok will use his thirty years of knowledge and experience in creating super hero comic books from cover to cover to help you create your own comic masterpiece. George has created and published multiple comic books and is closely involved with the retail comics industry. Wear your Super Hero outfit!
