Special Event

PRIDE: All Ages Art Nights - Powerful Photography

Tuesday, June 22 | 7 pm – 8 pm

The Art Gallery of Windsor is hosting a series of free all ages art nights throughout the month of June  to celebrate 2S-LGBTQQIA+ Pride Month! Join Thrive: Youth Drop-In facilitator, Derrick Carl Biso, on Zoom on Tuesday evenings from June 8th-29th at 7pm-8pm for virtual workshops using various materials to make expressive artworks.

Each week we will take a look at artworks from the Art Gallery of Windsor’s Collection, discuss the elements of art and principles of design, and have a different activity each week to experiment with different materials to express ourselves and make art!  Tune in, chill out, and learn something new!

The Art Gallery of Windsor is proud to present this series of events with our community partners: the Run for Rocky Legacy Project, Windsor Youth Centre, Trans Wellness Ontario, Windsor-Essex Pride Fest, and Pozitive Pathways.

This program is presented by the Art Gallery of Windsor and funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

Works made during PRIDE: All Ages Art Nights can be submitted to be included in a Community Exhibition at the Art Gallery of Windsor this Fall 2021. Please submit a copy of your work to Derrick at dbiso@agw.ca or contact to arrange your submission. Support the Art Gallery of Windsor’s programs and initiatives by becoming a member or making a donation today
