Join our Conservator in Residence, Spencer Montcalm, on select Saturdays from 11 am - 2 pm for a series of programs in the third-floor gallery!

Stretching Marcel Barbeau’s Racines Sonores

Racines Sonores was rolled on a sturdy tube for safe storage. Join Spencer as he assembles the custom-made stretcher from Upper Canada Stretchers. Watch as he delicately stretches the canvas to an ideal tension allowing this wonderful painting to be displayed.
