Feeling Regal: High Tea for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

Join us for a family-friendly afternoon celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with local drag queen Disco Jesus!
In honour of this celebration, admission to AWE is free all day.

From 12 - 4 pm, the Gallery will feature:

• Tea, cookies and refreshments
• Drop-in art activities to bring out your Royal side
• A special edition Queen's Platinum Jubilee colouring page designed by illustrator Julie Hall 
• Works from AWE's Collection specifically curated for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee
• Photo opportunities with Disco Jesus, adorned in a fully royal and opulent Drag ensemble
  
  

At 3 pm: Live performance of "God Save the Queen", performed by Disco Jesus

Disco Jesus is honoured to celebrate The Queen's 70^th Platinum Jubilee with a live vocal performance! Join us on the third floor at 3 pm for this powerhouse performance of "God Save The Queen".

Photography and videography will be present throughout the event. By entering this event site you agree to be filmed or photographed which may be used for marketing or promotional purposes.

About Disco Jesus

Disco Jesus is Windsor's Theatrical Drag Performance Artist who has been involved in instrumental, vocal and theatrical performance for the last 20 years and is celebrating the 5^th Anniversary of Drag milestone in October 2022! Disco has hosted and performed across Ontario in London, Sarnia, Hamilton & Toronto and produces yearly events including co-creating & co-producing Windsor & Ontario's 1^st "Drag Lip Sync Battle Royale" in June 2022 involving 9 Drag Entertainers from across the province spanning from Windsor to Sault Ste. Marie! Driven by the muse of Nonna Grace Rose, Disco thrives on merging and utilizing every single artistic and life skill learned along the journey to 30 and is ready to create, collaborate and change the world one Disco mirror at a time while always putting The Art first and celebrating a passion for showbiz at its core!
