Taking Care: Compassion - Addressing Shame & Cultivating Pride with Derrick Carl Biso

Sunday, June 26, 2022 | 11 am – 12:30 pm

Join us for a brief discussion and presentation to commemorate Pride Month and learn how the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and persons challenge a culture of shame and create a culture of Pride.

Together, we will explore the role of acceptance and compassion to address shame and cultivate pride within our lives. During this session, we will take time to celebrate the natural diversity and differences in relation to human identity (i.e., sexuality and gender). Deepen into this theme through reflection questions and an art activity to prompt personal expressions of what we are proud of and what brings us joy. How can Pride inspire us to transform our life experiences with acceptance and compassion?

Join us for this heart-warming and transformative session!
