Meet the Artist: Catherine Hois!

Catherine Hois grew up in the small village of Schomberg, Ontario, and has an MFA, BFA, and BED from York University. She is a multimedia artist, engaging with found-object art, collage, abstract painting, and digital art. Catherine’s abstract painting classes focus on self expression through colour, as she explains the very basics of colour theory. Catherine’s current personal artistic practice examines art therapy, the issues of extreme body management, and mental health. She does this through sculpture, acrylic painting, and stop-motion animation.
