In conjunction with the exhibition Made in America, 1900-1950: Photographs from the National Gallery of Canada the AGW presents new summer programs.

TOUR: Chris McNamara (pictured) will lead a tour of Made in America, 1900-1950: Photographs from the National Gallery of Canada. Christopher McNamara is a film and video artist who divides his time between Windsor, Ontario, and Ann Arbor, Michigan. His work has been shown in galleries and museums throughout Canada, Europe and the US. In addition to video work, McNamara works with three audio art collectives: Thinkbox, Nospectacle and Noiseborder Ensemble. McNamara is a Lecturer in the Department of Screen Arts & Cultures at the University of Michigan.

SCREENING: Berenice Abbott: A View of the 20th Century, directed by Kay Weaver and Martha Wheelock, 56 min. Berenice Abbott was one of the greatest American photographers of the 20th Century. From her portraits of the avant-garde taken in Paris during the 1920's, to her documentation of New York in the 1930's, to her science photography of the '50s, and her studies of small-town America, Abbott's genius is in the incredible range of her work.

Made in America: 1900-1950: Photographs from the National Gallery of Canada is organized and circulated by the National Gallery of Canada and presented at the AGW with the support of The Morris and Beverly Baker Foundation.
