In conjunction with the exhibition Made in America, 1900-1950: Photographs from the National Gallery of Canada the AGW presents new summer programs.

TOUR: Michelle Le Chien, recently appointed Executive Director of the Arts Council Windsor & Region will lead a tour of Made in America, 1900-1950: Photographs from the National Gallery of Canada. Michelle was Director of the Leamington Arts Centre/South Essex Arts Association September 2005 - August 2008, Host of "Window on the Arts" TVCogeco, 2006 - 2008 and Assistant Curator/Registrar at the Tom Thomson Art Gallery, Owen Sound, August 2008 - March 2012.

SCREENING: Strand: Under the Dark Cloth, directed by John Walker, 81 min. This is a Genie award winning documentary about the photographer, Paul Strand. The film covers his life from his beginnings as an artist at the dawn of the 20th century, while under the influence of Alfred Stieglitz, to the point he took his very last photograph in his late eighties just before his death in 1976.

Made in America, 1900-1950: Photographs from the National Gallery of Canada is organized and circulated by the National Gallery of Canada and presented at the AGW with the support of The Morris and Beverly Baker Foundation.
