Yousuf Karsh: Industrial Portraits featuring Ford of Canada, Windsor, 1951

In November 1950, Yousuf Karsh was approached by Ford of Canada's director of public relations to undertake a series of photohraphs of the company's plant in Windsor. The Ford series of images symbolized the wholesome nature of both the Ford workers and their products. Ford wished the pictures to reveal that "the story of Formd of Canada's progress can best be told in terms of people."
