The striking pneumatic vinyl 8' equestrian sculpture by Max Streicher was donated to the Art Gallery of Windsor by Leon Liffmann in 2020. It is mounted on the northern most façade of Pelissier Street Parking Garage.
Also mounted to the façade of Pelissier Street Parking Garage and visible from Ouellette Avenue, is an installation by artist Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. of Detroit, Michigan. The 16 square foot artwork was commissioned by the AGW this year, and is entitled Posters from North of the Border.
“These pieces are spectacularly stunning, and are meant to elicit curiosity, engagement and excitement,” says DWBIA Chair Brian Yeomans. “They will be a remarkable, even if only temporary, addition to the downtown landscape.”
The installations were made possible by the City of Windsor, and the DWBIA and the AGW thanks them for their support and vision.
