Disability [R]evolution: A Community Exhibition

April 26 – May 22, 2022

Location: Second Floor Gallery

Developed by the Art Gallery of Windsor’s Accessibility Task Force

A revolution is happening across the Disability and Immunocompromised communities of Windsor-Essex, right here at the Art Gallery of Windsor!

In Disability [R]evolution, members of the Disability and Immunocompromised communities have come together to contribute letters, videos, paintings, and other creative works that speak to the past, present, and future of their communities in this region and beyond. Collectively, these works point the way to a brighter future for people with disabilities and/or who are immunocompromised, and call upon decision-makers to include the Disability and Immunocompromised communities in making critical decisions on how to realize this hopeful future.

Artists and creatives in this exhibition include Evelina Baczewska, Kai Kristoff, Notabeanie, Brianne Taggart, Faith Turner, and Rhonda Martin.

This exhibition is co-presented by the Disability Studies Program, School of Social Work, University of Windsor.
